As a breeder who is in love with all of our cats and kittens we find it hard to part with our kittens, they are just so cute!!!

Just looking at them Im sure you would understand. But when we know that they go to great homes and that they are so loved and are a part of the family of their new owners it makes us so proud. So we thought that we would share this with you (Don’t forget to check out all the links to videos of our kittens)
And we want to say thank you to all of our Bengal owners who have taken time to stay in touch, and send us all the wonderful photos (like the ones on this page) of their beckatt Baby Bengals!!.

Hello Melina and Dave,

Just a quick note to let you know that Yuki travelled home really well and is settling in with no problems. She has been very good about using her litter tray and she let me know this morning when i had her away from it that she needed to go - by making a bit of noise. I thought she was trying to tell me something and sure enough she was....

She has also been very good about letting Lorna pick her up and cuddle her. She starts purring as soon as she sees us and she and Lorna spend a lot of time amusing each other with the 'funky hollow'. I have to say that although I blew my entire cat budget on that thing it has been fantastic for us and Yuki. She sits on the platform inside so she is up quite high and can watch what is going on but is enclosed and feels safe. Now she has started running up and down it and jumping from ledge to ledge so we take the platform out for 'playtime'.
The other good thing is that she is very quiet at night which I hadn’t expected after being used to puppies.

Hi Melina,

Just wanted to update you on 'shadow' - we finally found a name that stuck! I kept on calling him 'my shadow' because he sticks to me like glue so that's how he got his name. Shadow is doing great - he is the cutest cat - he is so gentle with us he doesn't even unsheathe his claws - the only time he is a little bit rough is when he wrestles with Michael.
He is the most affectionate cat I have ever met - if i sit down he will always hop up for a cuddle or sleep on my lap - he now jumps into bed with us - well - me - he cuddles up to me each night down by my knees - for a couple of hours and then goes off to his own bed. I included a picture taken the other day where he is sitting on the ironing board - he literally needs to be where I am and its is so funny when he has to be part of things - even the ironing ! I let him stay while I iron - he is happy so long as he is near me!

We received our new puppy last week - and after 4 days he and shadow are getting along well - he is a very gentle puppy and i think they are going to be good mates. We get compliments all the time about how 'beautiful' shadow is - he really does have the loveliest colouring - my husband took me on a surprise holiday for our 24 year anniversary a couple of weeks ago and shadow stayed at 'cats R us' in officer - the owner raved about shadow and said that he was the best looking cat that had 'ever' stayed there - I had requested 'extra cuddles' for shadow as part of his care - and he not only got this but they liked him so much they would take him up into the office with them each day!

Thank you again for such a beautiful boy.

Regards, Tracy O'Keeffe

Hi Melina, this is Kristy,

Sorry its been so long since ive contacted you, haven’t bought the cable yet to send pics but I promise I will do it soon so you can see how beautiful Gucci looks. He is such a joy to our lives and he would be one of the most spoilt cats I know. He simply follows me around every where. At night I run the bath for myself and yell out to Gucci that mummys in the bath (yeah I know im such a smooch when it comes to him) then he comes running and sits on the bath the whole time occasionally dipping his paws in the water. Gotta love it.
I don’t let him outside even though he's not even interested in getting out. Im trying to get my husband to make something that is all beautifully caged that goes from the inside to the outside with a beautiful running water pond and all that fancy stuff. So then on nice days he can just go in or out when he wants without me worrying about anything. Husband is really good at making these things, just gotta nag him a bit to do it. Anyway better go but I promise I will send pics real soon.

Kristy

Hi Guys,

I have been meaning to send you an email and some photos for so long. Shakaan fitted into the family almost straight away. He is my baby and loves sitting on my lap purring like a lawn mower. He is certainly active and keeps us very entertained. After the 2nd night he wanted to meet the dogs, I thought he would back away from them but no, he put them in line very quickly. Shiloh on the other hand wasn't too sure and took a few more days to warm up to him. They now play and sleep together, sometime still have a few spats but not too many!!

Thank you so much for letting us have this litter fellow, he is well loved and has everyone wrapped around his little paw, so to speak!!

Hi Melina,

We wanted to write quickly to let you know that Miles is settling in really well and has GROWN so much in the last couple of weeks! He is really the most beautiful little fellow and we absolutely adore him.
He is so affectionate and follows us around the house like a little dog - he loves to sleep on our laps when we are sitting on the couch or working on the computer and he loves playing with us with his toys. His favorite toy is a little grey mouse which he now fetches when we throw it, brings it back in his mouth and drops at our feet to throw again - we were amazed the first time he did this and it is now his favorite game.

Beckatt Bengals past kittens
Beckatt Bengals past kittens

We have set up a little bed for him which he takes himself to when he is sleepy, but otherwise he loves sleeping on our heads! He chats to us all the time and we adore the little noises he makes eating his dinner. We are soon planning to start training him to go for a walk - will let you know how he goes!
We are looking forward to meeting you in Feb but wanted to thank you for raising such a lovely little fellow - he has such a lovely nature and is very clever - he is absolutely perfect : )
Hoping all is well with you and thanks again,

Fiona and Matthew

Hi Mel,

I hope you are well. Samson is progressing well. He has settled in nicely and gets along with Bonnie really well. He is a very curious cat. He follows me just about everywhere, he wants to know what I’m doing, he has also taken to jumping in the shower with me. It’s amazing. I have never owned a cat that does that. Above all that he is very affectionate, loves cuddles and sleeping on my lap. He’s my baby.
Cheers

Mel

Hi Mel,

Rahni & Taj are really lovely kittens. Rahni has taken to jumping on my shoulder and wrapping herself around my neck. Taj is still as cheeky as ever. They LOVE their outdoor enclosure and seem to spend most of their time outside now. I put a solar powered pond pump/ fountain thing in their baby bath and they love having the moving water to play with. They continue to be a constant source of pleasure for me, they are so playful and very interactive with me. When Rahni sees me coming she runs at the door and climbs it and meets me at my head height to say hello. I won’t ever be without a Bengal now! They are the most beautiful cats I have ever known! I just adore them. Its really fascinating to watch their coats change too and to be able to see the glitter. Taj's coat is getting darker and Rahni's is getting a lot clearer.

Hello Melina

We just returned from a 2 week trip to the Philippines. During our trip, Kratos stayed at some Norwegian friends of ours, who really took great care of him. He is now officially the mascot of our little Norwegian community in Vung Tau, Vietnam.
He is very active and really loves playing around our pool. He fell in one day, chasing some bug, but got out himself and continued chasing bugs and falling leaves like nothing happened. He is also very loving. Right now he lying on my office desk beside me and is complaining that I am not petting him instead of doing my work. He is getting bigger every day.

Best Regards

Hi Melina,

He's perfect.
It has taken him and the girl a few months to get used to one another, but he chases her pretty much all day. He's growing like a weed. He loves water, but only if its running. He's not very vocal, he sure can be if he's hungry or his litter is dirty. But generally he's pretty quiet. I'm not sure if you saw his youtube videos, (video one) (video two) but he plays fetch with me everyday, and it is always me who gets bored.
The vet told us she has never seen such a well behaved Bengal, he's about as socially perfect as you can get. We wrestle with him all the time, and he loves it. Especially with me because i'm a bit rougher with him. He LOVES having his belly scratched, almost as much as any dog i've ever had, makes him dribble. This is how he sleeps on us, pretty much every time. I'm pretty sure he's got a screw loose, nothing bothers him, vacuum cleaners, loud music, strangers, loves the rain, food... he'll eat anything. From day one he's been on chicken wings, chicken necks, huge chunks of beef and lamb, liver. He demolishes chicken necks and wings, (video three) he growls so loud if you go near him while he's eating, very primal.
I'm pretty confident we'll be getting another Bengal before this year is out, but he will be a hard act to follow.
Thanks heaps.

Stuart & Danae

Hi Mel,

He is so funny. he's already learnt how to sit and has figured out my alarm means cuddle time. Best kitten ever! so glad i chose this breed and even so much more happier I chose him. he has learnt the sound of my motorbike and is waiting at the door for hugs by the time i get in.
I hope that all your future kittens turn out as amazing as he is.

Monica

Hello Melina,

Zirann is doing really well. This weekend she played fetch for the 1st time and she kept it up for over a half hour!! I have learnt a very important thing about Bengals, they are tireless, she has so much energy!! She loves to climb and reach up and drop books out of the bookshelf! we love her to bits. Last night I went to bed really late and there she was all curled up, luckily I checked or I would've squashed her! She loves her tummy rubbed in the morning and gee does she demand her meat!! Follows me to fridge and gets quite annoyed when there's nothing in it for her. She is a real personality!!

PS The first time she made that sound while eating my son came rushing out thinking there was something wrong!! She is a unique cat. I tell all my friends that I have NO ORDINARY CAT!

Hi Melina,

Just thought I'd drop a quick note to let you know how Leo's doing.
I just posted some pics up on Facebook this morning, here's the Link As for the little man, well he is truly entertainment plus! He is such a curious little cat. He's only allowed in one half of the house right now but he simply can't wait to see what's on the other side of the door (hall way and bedrooms)... and often undertakes stealth missions to see if he can bolt through the door before we catch him! And catching him is sooo hard!
He feels he has to supervise everything... sweeping, mopping, even vacuuming. I can't believe he's not scared of the vacuum cleaner.. it's a huge upright loud beast and he just trails along behind it playing with the cord. My old cat used to be so petrified of the thing that she'd run a mile even if she just spotted it sitting quietly in the corner!
I got him his favorite toy... a feather on a stick, endless joy to a kitten, but I'm afraid I'll give him a heart attack, the way he races around after it. He also started playing fetch with me a couple of days ago which was a nice surprise and a relief because it means I don't have to run around after him :)

Beckatt Bengals past kittens

He's packing on muscle everyday and he's always testing his capabilities... jumping that little bit higher every day. Just hoovers through the kangaroo mince we feed him, and loves eating my dad's lawn.

Hey Melina,

Thought i would let you know how little Koda is doing! and send you some photos. He is a little terror, but always a laugh. He runs around the house like mad...haha like he has had too much coffee!!!! its hard to get him to slow down, he will be flying around everywhere then jump off the back of the couch or something. He loves his food!!!! He is such a lover, runs up to me and gives my legs bear hugs till i pick him up and hug him. and he follows you into every room you go...including the bathroom, most of the time he sits in the bathroom till i get out of the shower, then runs out as soon as the shower door opens and then back in, then out, then in, then out....and plays with hair ties on the floor....haha

He is a big laugh. His coat is looking really good now too, lots of glitter. He is really beautiful and he knows it talk soon
Thanks

Hi mel and dave,

Tilly is going great, she prowls around like she owns the place now! She is also growing bigger and stronger! She likes to challenge herself all the time with new heights to jump! We had visitors all weekend and she just lapped up the hours of playing with them! I was pleased that she wanted to hang out with us and not hide away! She was so tired last night she curled up with me on the couch while I was chatting to a friend! Usually she is up and playing till we go to bed! Everyone who meets Tilly comments on how pretty she is and what a big personality she has - so my little hyperactive kitten is a credit to you!
She sleeps on our bed and under the covers with us (spoilt!) which is so cute but a bit dangerous at times when she starts to play and claw at us! She definitely knows her name now and comes when I call her. She follows me everywhere and watches what I am up.
I can't remember if I told you but the trip to the vet was fine! She was such a good girl, she just let the vet do check her over without any fighting back! I was pleasantly surprised! When she got home she was straight into playing again! I have to be creative to keep her occupied so she does not get up to trouble! I made a box toy with holes for her to find toys which is loves. what a hunter she is! I have been meaning to get the ping pong balls, I am sure she would like them. She has been fetching scrunched up paper!
Well as you can probably tell our Tilly is a spoilt little kitty! We love her (and her eccentric, hyperactive personality) to bits, she just keeps getting more loveable!
Thanks for our adorable Tilly!

Emma

Morning Mel,

Magic is just the loveliest boy he could be called “Love Bug “…. He is such a sook…
Tell your girls thanks for me they did a great job turning him into the best cat ever !

Hugs from both of us

Hi Melina & Dave,

Twinkey is doing wonderful, He is eating well, raw veal mince, and poached chicken and rice. And running it all off, having a great time,
He's met and used to my small old blind dog, and puts on such an impressive side-ways walk- making himself twice as big (all spiked up) front on, and twice as thin side on. Oh its funny that pose, and to think its all wasted on a blind dog. :D He sort of disappointed when old YoYo doesn't take any notice of him.
Twinkey bonded with me immediately, and really loves being centre of attention, He slept with me, He is so gentle and beautiful, He is so much more than i ever imagined. A real sweetie, he loves to play hard and relax so gently. And he purr is so loud.

Yes he is a real treasure, Is "Hidden Treasure" Twinkey's 'formal' name?
When he got here its like he knew this would be his home, maybe he had sensed the move before it happened- because now he is eating alot (not too much though) and has a cute little tiny pot belly :)
Bye for now :D

Hi mel,

All is wonderful here, Twinkey is an angel, and has lightened my life its so nice I am always smiling and laughing. I am glad his pedigree name is hidden treasure- really good name
bye for now

Hi there melina and dave and kids,

Well, the car ride home! We were wondering if there is a cooling off period? Man he WAILED the whole, yes whole, way home. Stopped off at Safeway and Nathan stayed in the car and got him out of the carrier and he was fine. I was glad for the peace! How incredible is the sound they make, we were trying very hard not to laugh in amazement of the level of noise that comes out from such a little guy, but some of those sounds came directly out of an African safari documentary. Have to stick him in it again with a video so as to capture the sound 'cos no one would believe it lol. He is in nathans room now playing splashing with what was initially 2cm of water tumbleturning, somersaulting, climbing, twisting, dragging things, scratching his special climbing frame thing and not showing any signs of weariness!

Beckatt Bengals past kittens
Beckatt Bengals past kittens

How different are they to a "normal" cat! We are in love with this little guy but emily is currently showing signs of a not very happy cat giving her own impression of a very scary cat! Ha, young tarzan dutifully played the submissive one but had a very scary look on his face as he was cowering, which had nil effect on our emily. However, we will integrate as best we can and hope for the best! Emily is now on my bed sleeping and tarzan is on Nathans WIDE AWAKE!!

Thanks again

Robyn and Nathan

Hi melina and dave,

Thought you might like to know that tarzan and emily are getting on like a house on fire. They are playing with each other, hide and seek , ambush, stacks on and wrestling! They have been full on playing with each other for 2 days now. Tarzan sleeps in nathans room and emily in mine as usual. In the morning emily walks down the hall looking for the little brat. He is unbelievable as you would well know. No problems eating and even getting a little pot belly it must be in the air at my place!

Robyn and Nathan

Hi melina,

our darling tarzan, well, emily and him are getting on famously. They chase each other, hide etc etc and generally have a ball. Tarzan, let me tell you, not that you wouldnt already know, is naughty. The water bottle had some effect but the short/long term memory or care factor did not until recently kick in. He is dynamite in the kitchen, he can jump on the bench in a single bound. If i am facing the stove he is on the bench, if i am at the bench he is on the other side and it goes on and on and on, but fortunately after how many weeks the penny is starting to drop. No water bottle anymore, (2 have broken due to overuse, plus the water! Just a 'get off' works, and time out in the laundry has some effect but he still tries. He has enjoyed many a tasty treat by sneaking up when my back is turned!
Ok, the nice things, he is beautiful, charming and manipulative (is that a positive?) oh, he plays the best fetch and will go on for as long as his little body will stand it, walks beautifully on the lead, talks to you, actually gets into the bed, oh and when you go into the bathroom he is right there waiting for the tap. He eats absolutely anything, caught him eating the lizards raw carrot. Is currently laying on nathan on the couch, resting after big plays with emily and the nightly fetch. I would never have believed how different the bengal is to a 'normal' cat. What he does, like walk over you as if you are not there, just very ummmmm bengal? Jumps up on anything with no consideration of 'is that safe???', independant but dependant, you know what i mean?

Beckatt Bengals past kittens
Beckatt Bengals past kittens

I'll send the snaps soon. Oh saw someone at the vet that had a bengal and has a friend that has one of yours and is apparently gtting another one, dudududu small world! They were very impressed with tarzan on lead, emily in cage.
Hope all is great with all your boys and girls. I guess daves finished the cat shed now and it would look fabulous. Hope he is getting work again.
Catchya,

Robyn

Happy new year dave, melina and kids

Long ago i promised photos of our darling tarzan!
Oh he has grown on me, almost enough for another one !!! he is nowhere near as naughty as he was - though he still has days where i could just ....... scream. he still jumps on the kitchen bench, i have tried everything .... believe me, ............................ i am now in acceptance mode.
I dont know what age they stop growing but he is only little, i mean he is no taller than our other cat and much skinnier, of course. tarzan is very social and is always around if there are visitors and kids and he lets them hold him upside down inside out...... you know what im saying, - he is on the couch if you are, or laying at your feet. he talks to you, he demands (by grabbing/attacking your leg with 4 paws to tell you hes dropped his dolly) to play fetch every night, loves chasing flies, sleeps with nathan, knows the routine of toilet and then bathroom as he sprints to the bathroom sink when he hears the toilet flush, that is if he is not already at your feet! goes outside for his toilet -(havent changed a litter tray in 3 weeks) and tells you he needs to go....... thank goodness............. just like our other cat, but has not grasped the concept of toilet and then back inside (or chooses not to more like it) like our other cat emily, so we watch him cos if we dont he is over the fence and up the tree that 10's of birds are nesting in...... bad cat...... funny though, hasnt mastered the art of walking on a fence, very funny, one leg on fence, one leg on wall......... he is just lovely. have to congratulate you guys, must tell you, a friends friend has bought a snow bengal from another breeder about 4 months ago, - bad friend - anyway, their kitten hisses at them, is not litter trained, hides when people come over, is not friendly to them and they are not happy at all. our friend of course is telling them about how beautiful tarzan is, how people friendly/social he is and basically informing them everything yours is, robyn and nathans is the opposite, which is not pleasing to them of course. everyone that meets our little boy loves him and i must say he has grown on me. anyway here are some pics - must get some of him fanging around the backyard ! ..... another time (oh, he is never outside without us, he loves a play in the garden chasing bugs in the grass, the chooks, and getting some vitamin d.
Bet your cat shed is looking fabulous!
Hope all is well with you guys and all your little spotty cats!

xx robyn and nathan

Hi Melina,

I just thought that I would send you some of our latest photos of phoenix he has grown so quickly and defiantly runs our house! He bed hops every night and is very lively he has discovered the toilet and the bath. He hates it when someone leaves the house sits and cry’s at the door, he is very loved and I think that I have bought the whole pet shop in toys for him. I took him to the vet and we were stuck there for over a hour with them all admiring him. On a scarier side for my bday my daughter bought me flowers and even though I had read the information that you gave me well he ate a Lilly leaf.

Oh I know now!! he was sick for a few days it was very worrying but he made a full recovery as you can see. And no flowers in my house ever again!

Hi Melina

Just letting you know that the kitten (we have named him Meeko ) is settling in well. He is such a little character and I see what you mean about him loving people, he would not let me leave him alone all day!
Regards,

Sade

Hi Melina and Dave and kids,

Everything went really well yesterday. We were at air express before Tyron arrived. As soon as I seen him I knew he was perfect. He cried the whole way home, he just wanted to be out of the crate. I had my arm through the headrest and my fingers were in the front of the crate the whole way so he could touch me which seemed to comfort him alot.
He is settling in really well. He has done alot of exploring, and he has met the rest of the family. I didnt want to overwhelm him or stress him out by introducing him to the other cats and dogs so soon, but by the end of last night he already had. He seems to be fine with them all, not too sure about our Dalmatian though hehehe, he is so big.
He is so affectionate. He does the clawing comfort thing to almost everything. he just loves to be cuddled and held. He slept next to me last night, and at about 5am i was woken up. I put him in the litter to see if he needed to go, but he just wanted to play lol. so we played and then went back to bed. Hes just so full of energy and such a lovely little boy. I absolutely love him so much already. Even my brother is quite attached. I came home last night to find him in my brothers lap fast asleep which i learnt he had been there for hours and apparently my brother didnt let him out of his site. And yes he finds a toy out of the simplest things, yesterday it was a pen and then the foxtel remote. He is currently exploring the computer desk (hes already tried to rip up my brothers paperwork.) I dont think you could of picked a more perfect kitten for us to love and he is just that. Absolutely perfect. Thanks you so so much.
Thanks again

Kirsty

Hi Mel and family

We just want you to know how grateful we are that you obviously spent so much time making sure that Rosie was ready to be part of our family. We tried to keep her confined to one area of the house but what a joke – she wanted out of that area as she needed to explore the entire house in one day! We tried to keep her hidden from Bundy (Labrador) but she insisted on going to have a look at him and when he gave her a bark because he wanted to play, she fluffed up her tail and just walked away then she went back for another look! It was very funny to watch.
Cadbury is in hiding in the laundry basket and did not hiss when he saw Rosie today which is a good thing. Mind you, Cadbury was 1 metre off the ground and shaking in his boots when he saw her. It’s easy to keep them separated because Cadbury isn’t brave enough to come out yet – Rosie just wandered innocently into the laundry.
Rosie is the most beautiful kitten, very lively and really friendly and does love a cuddle when she’s not too busy discovering her new home. We are all smitten. Isabella has just about trailed her every move and we had to beg her to let Rosie have a sleep during the day. Rosie sleeps in Isabella’s bed at night and woke Isabella just before dawn this morning because she wanted to play with Isabella’s toes, which Isabella thought was very funny.
She seems to have settled in really well, lets me know when she is hungry (frequently) LOL, follows us around the house, is playing crazy games, is using her litter and is currently asleep on the lounge next to Isabella who is watching some TV. When we got Cadbury at 12 weeks of age he hid under our lounge for the first 3 weeks so Rosie’s confident disposition is just fantastic, especially from Isabella’s point of view.
I’ll give you an update and some photos soon.
Thanks once again

Rebecca, Matt and Isabella
PS. People keep asking me why haven’t I bought Isabella a DS Nintendo – who needs one when you have a kitten!

Hi Mel

I thought that your children might find these photos funny. Rosie has taken to sleeping and playing in Isabella’s doll stroller (with Minnie Mouse) and then Isabella wheels her around the house when she is tired which is not very often! LOL. She is into everything and is keeping us all on our toes but it’s loads of fun to have a kitten in the house again.
Rosie has settled in SO well it’s quite amazing. Cadbury and Rosie touched noses yesterday and there is barely any hissing now. In fact they are both very curious about each other and keep sneaking around corners to see each other and following one another around the house – we are monitoring the situation very closely but I think that within a few weeks Rosie might have Cadbury acting like a lively cat again and that would be good to see! Rosie and Bundy (Labrador) also touched noses today (although Bundy was confined to a baby playpen at the time) and Rosie doesn’t seem scared of Bundy at all which is quite funny given that Bundy is about 30kg and 80cm high. Rosie sits near the playpen on a very comfy chair that she has adopted and just grooms herself whilst watching him in the playpen. Secretly I bet she’s laughing that he is trapped!
Rosie also is enjoying sleeping on Isabella’s lap during the day which is really cute and Isabella calls her “darling” all the time and just loves her to bits (as Matt and I do too).

Beckatt Bengals past kittens
Beckatt Bengals past kittens

I won’t update you every week but I couldn’t resist taking these photos.
Now I know what people mean when they say that Bengals just move in and take over and that sure is the truth but in a really lovely way.
Kind regards

Rebecca

PS. She is currently running around the house like a crazy cat and just got stuck in a box of books that she was investigating. Talk about entertaining! LOL

Hi Mel

Cadbury and Rosie have just about sorted out who’s in charge and that would be ROSIE! LOL. Cadbury is trying his hardest to be the alpha male but it just isn’t working very well for him. Rosie chases him around the house for her own amusement, chases him off the lounge chair that both she and Cadbury like and then sits on it in absolute defiance and has just this morning chased Cadbury off our bed, which after Cadbury’s 10 years of absolute domination in that department, was very funny to watch. Cadbury at 6.5kg should be able to defend himself but a quiet Burmese up against an crazy 14 week old Bengal is just no match. Cadbury did groom Rosie this morning which was quite lovely and given that it’s only been 2 weeks tomorrow that they will have known each other, we think that they will be friendly towards each other most of the time. When Cadbury has had enough of the antics he just wacks her across the nose and jumps up to where she can’t reach him. But being the most agile climber that she is, I expect Cadbury’s peace and quiet at heights will come to an abrupt end very soon!
Rosie is just so adorable – she has stolen our hearts. I know what people mean when they say you had either better be home to keep them company or get 2 of them to keep each other company. She follows us around the house like a puppy and is curious about everything. She is very cuddly when she is tired and the rest of the time she is wanting to play games with us and to say she keeps us highly entertained is an understatement. The hours we have wasted just watching and laughing at her performances. She does this crazy running and jumping thing for about an hour every morning and then collapses in her favourite chair exhausted and sleeps most of the morning. And when I say crazy, I MEAN crazy – even Cadbury has taken to sitting and watching the action instead of sleeping. We bought her a cat tunnel and she is in and out of it all the time – it makes a great hiding spot to ambush Cadbury. She LOVES her food, especially the fresh meat that she gets in the morning and evening. Her purring is SO loud at times that I can hear her in the next room.
Isabella calls her “darling” and “sweetheart” all the time and talks to her like a baby. When she is tired she curls up on Isabella’s lap and has a little sleep. We have even found her asleep in Isabella’s dolls cot with the baby dolls (that used to be Cadbury’s sleeping spot too). Rosie is incredibly affectionate given her “wild” background but we are all convinced that it is the loving, caring environment that she came from with your family. She is so well socialised and everything that we were looking for in a Bengal. Her markings are truly amazing and all of our recent visitors are astounded by how beautiful she is.
Thanks for all of the hard work that went into raising such a wonderful pet for our family.

Kind regards
Rebecca

Hi Mel and family

Thought you might find these photos amusing. Rosie has decided that whenever we are using the computer she MUST sit in front of the monitor and attack the computer mouse from time to time. Rosie has also decided that now that she has known Bundy (30kg Lab) for 3 weeks, it was time to get more acquainted with him! At night Bundy is allowed to come inside but is restricted to a baby playpen which I think I might have told you already. Rosie now goes in there when it suits her, wacks him around the face a bit, bites him and lays on her back so that he will play with her. I have been absolutely in a panic every time this happens but it’s all Rosie’s doing. I cannot leave the 2 of them together for fear he will accidentally hurt her – he’s such a lovely natured dog that I know he wouldn’t do anything on purpose but 30kg against 2kg!
We think we ought to have called her “Fearless” instead of Rosie. I knew it would only be a matter of weeks before she was doing EXACTLY as she pleased and controlling all of us like puppets on a string. It’s hysterical.
My 2 sisters are besotted as well and want to take her home! Not much chance of that!
Hope you are all well.

Hi Dave & Melina,

I wanted to drop you a line to let you know how our little girl is going. I came down your way in late May and picked up Jazz. We have both been meaning to email you but we've been busy this year entertaining her plus we have recently moved house.
Well what can I say, except she is a fantastic cat. She brings a lot of happiness to us both as she is very playful and she can also be quite naughty at times, but that doesn't bother us as we know it's in their nature. She has definitely come out of her shell since I picked her up. She's a very nocturnal cat but when we first moved into our new house she wouldn't let us out of her sight and she stayed on the bed with us all night and cuddled up to Kristy. She does that on weekends too, she'll come up and give a tiny little meow and touch her nose on ours to say good morning.
Once we're out of bed though its play time! I don't know how or when she learnt it but we play fetch with her. We throw the toy, she runs off making her funny little growling/meowing sounds then brings it right back to you. She likes to stalk us through the house too, she is a little bit weird cos she fluffs up her tail, arches her back and walks sideways. It's hilarious!!! You'll love this bit but we have managed to toilet train her, as in she sits on the people toilet and does her business. We've found it quite amusing but it's definitely gonna save us a heap in kitty litter fees and mess through the house.
We're going to get some photo's together and send them down to you, so for now I shall let you go for now. Once again thank you so much for bringing little Jazz into the world. We love her very much and she is now a big part of our family.
Kind regards,

Lee & Kristy Jones-Fraser

Hi Mel and Dave

I know I phoned yesterday to say that they had arrived safely, but also wanted to touch base to let you know that they have really settled in. They were playing within about 10 minutes of being let out, and have really made themselves at home.
Charu was a bit unsure last night, but quite smoochie today, and King, well King was smoochie from the word go. You were so right about that Mel!

They played from the minute they got home about 3pm to about 10pm last night. We were wondering if they would ever stop! But they crashed out on the couch (picture attached) finally. I cannot believe the change they have made in our lives within 24 short hours. Such inquisitive, intelligent little things and so lovable.
We cannot thank you enough for our little fur babies. You guys have really blessed us with a lot of joy in two furry little bundles of energy. Right now King is up on the computer bench and sitting between my keyboard and monitor wanting (obviously to say hi as that was him... LOL!!)
Will be keeping you updated as we go along.
Kind regards,

Rae & Charu, Cheree & King

Hi Mel and Dave,

OMG... I've been meaning for months to send you an email and let you know how our babies are getting on. What can I say? They've taken over the place!! They are just as inquisitive and mischievous as we thought they would be and then some. King is the most lovely natured kitten such a smoocher!! . Charu is definitely out of the fuzzies and is as soft as satin when you pat her. Her markings are just gorgeous, as is the glitter in her pelt.
We've fallen in love with Charu's feisty little personality. She loves anything crinkly that makes a noise and will come running from whatever corner of the house she is in if she hears anything resemble the crinkling of paper or plastic. She treats whatever it is like prey whenever she "collects" it and will growl at King if he comes near and tries to take away her bit of paper. When she's in a smoochie mood she is insanely smoochie and so cute!! She has the loudest purr and goes nuts with rubbing her face on you. We find that she has the most "wildcat" type personality.
They both love hunting flies and will tear from one end of the house to the other with their eyes on the fly as they go. This has made for some pretty funny incidents when they run into walls or off coffee tables because they're too focused on the fly!! They have both updated my Facebook status many times as they love smooches when I am on the computer. It's gotten to a point where if there is any status updates my friends can't understand, I get comments guessing that the kitties are on Facebook again!!
We cannot brush our teeth without having to move them out of the basin (picture proof attached). They both love the water and playing in it. When they are in a playful mood, Cheree and I just laughingly try to stay out of their way as they tear around the house after each other. They do the funniest things all the time and even when they knock everything over in their "exploring" you can't ever get mad at those cute little faces.
We are just loving them to bits and they have really added so much joy and laughter to our house. Adopting these gorgeous little kittens from you were one of the best decisions of our lives. Your kittens have the most delightful little personalities and so different from each other!
Thank you so much and we will keep you updated with their progress.
Kind regards,

Rae and Cheree, Charu and King

Hi there Melina,

Zeus is a little bullet man I tell you what. Maybe we should call him superman. I have a very very expensive digital camera that takes speed shots every half a second and it can't keep up with him, he's always a little blurry. He arrived safely and was very very glad to get out of his cage. He was very cuddly and purry with people. he's been very well behaved. no crying and no accidents. he's full of beans though and loves his scratching poles and things with bells. all i can hear is tinkling bells all night. Saturday we let him into the ajoining bedroom so he's been exploring and making friends with the other little bengal in the mirror.
He's getting on ok with my dog but we've still got him locked up during the day when we're not there just cause he's big and heavy and I don't want accidents. Zues' main aim seems to be to manage to run under our feet as we walk and climb up legs. he's a cuddly little kitten and doesn't fail to purr the second you pat him. what a cutie (my family were quite attached to him aswell.)

Thank-you so much for all the information. I found it very comprehensive. some sections I was already aware of from other cats but I really appreciate the efforts that you've gone to.
Thanks again

Hana

Hi Melina,

Sorry not to have contacted you but we have been very busy falling head over heals in love with the divine Coco. She is absolutely beautiful. I thought it was important for the girls to experience having a pet but it has been wonderful for us all. She is very beautiful inside and out!
Thanks so much

Susan

Hi Mel

As the days go by it is really noticeable how tolerant Mishti is towards Turbo. They chase each other, roll around together and when Mishti can't see Turbo she wanders around the house meowing. I don't know when but at some stage during the night Turbo got up onto the bed and towards morning I roll over and find a furry bundle curled up sound asleep. They are both such beautiful cats and their personalities are fantastic. Everyone who visits promptly falls in love with Mishti and Turbo as they are so affectionate and friendly. Plus everyone loves the antics.
All the best

Lucy

Hi Melina,

Kitten is doing great! We have called him 'shadow' because he is my little shadow - follows me everywhere - At the moment I am in the office - so he is asleep right behind me on the same chair - He is so cute - loves to be held and cuddled - which we really like - he is very gentle and no trouble at all to look after.
I will send photos soon!

Bye – Tracy

Hi Mel & Dave,

Just wanted to thank you again for our wonderful addition to the family- Apollo. He has settled in perfectly over the last 11 months and is an absolute joy! He has become best of friends with our 2 year old Border Collie, Goose, and is always trying to sneak outside to play with the dogs lol. I have attached some photos so that you can see how big and beautiful has become :) I did see that pic up on your website actually-makes me so proud :)
Talk to you soon- p.s. we will be on the hunt for a sister for Apollo in the not too distant future so if you are planning on having any silver babies please let me know :)
Sincerely,

Amy Gannon

Hi Melina

Yuki has settled in really well. she got a lot more active after a couple of days but it seems to be manageable. i put a tea tree oil spray on the furniture i didnt want her clawing and she knows to stay away from it (shes allowed to sit and climb on it but not scratch). she gets on really well with the dog and they play together quite happily which is really cute. she is very affectionate and also soaks up being a 'lap cat'. lorna is starting to learn that you cant expect her to be running around chasing things one minute and cuddling the next but there have been no real dramas - just the occasional light scratch which we expected.
She learned to fetch in 3 goes literally - so clever! and she has been outside on the lead as well. i never thought a cat could be so much fun. i love that shes active and cheeky and talkative but also so affectionate and people oriented. the fact that she is also beautiful is a bonus!
Regards

Anne

Hi mel,

What I difference a day can have. We are very proud of Tarzan he is looking after him like a mother really. Mowgli loves him, walks thru his legs and under him, rubs himself on him, tarz is cleaning his bum OMG. When Tarzan runs off mowgli cries and tarzy comes back. They are playing well, getting a bit rougher but Tarzan is still not giving him the full treatment!
We will let him thru to rest of house today and c what happens. I mean he can't get lost Tarzan will find him!!!! Eating s/diet wet. Will get some fresh mince today. Thinking what he sees Tarzan eat he will also so will see what happs today. He has really perked up thankfully. Did u notice one of his grandparents is a junglebook. Which mowgli is off ?so a name that has a relation to another in the line .... Freaky... Our next one has to be beckatt jungle boy/girl. Hold the name.
Enjoy yr day

Hi mel and dave,

Lavender is doing great. She has adjusted really well and does not stop playing all day. She loves Leopold so much and seems to get anxious when he is not around. He is definitely her favourite person she doesn't want much to do with us lol. I may just be in for another kitten (hopefully one for me this time) It's amazing how much personality she has for such a little thing :) They are so cute together and I am so glad we made the decision to get him a friend. I love her so much, she is too adorable!

Hey Mel,

Just thought id send you some more photos of Falcor and an update. He's doing fantastic. He's had his second shot so he's aloud outside now on his lead and also in his penn. He has a cat door that goes from my room outside into the penn you will be able to see it in the photos. Luckily i did this otherwise when hes up at 5am everyday with the birds i would have to wake up but its good he can just go outside as he pleases. He has become best friends with my dog Lucky; he follows him everywhere its so cute. He was terrified of the dogs the first week but now they are inseperable. Also, he loves the bath tub. I bought him some cat/dog friendly shampoo so he constantly smells like lavender lol. After bath time he goes and sits in the bath crying his head off because he wants another one!!
Anyways enjoy the photos. Hope all is well!

Abbey

Hi Melina,

Miss Feya had her first encounter today with her harness we bought off you. Poor little girl, the minute we put it on her, she fell on her side, hehe (I know I shouldn't laugh, but it was pretty funny). Then she had her big outdoor adventure for a short time which she just LOVED, after awhile. Our grandkids put the Christmas tree up today, hehehehehehehe, I needn't say anymore need I?? Nah, she was good, interested and has had a play but for today, it's still standing hehe. Feya has really come out of herself now and really loves our attention and hanging out with us. Sleeps under the covers, if she chooses to. She is the princess of the house and we are just sooooooooooooooooo in love with her, she is a precious, precious baby girl. She follows me everywhere, very cute when we're at the bathroom sink, she also gets in to 'bathtime' and plays, gets right in the sink. Has the dogs completely under her control, they never know whether she'll get them, very clever way to have them on notice... That she's the boss! I've uploaded a couple of pics on my Facebook if you wanted to see her progress.
Cheers

Hi Melina,

I assume you are back from America. I hope all went well for you. I thought I would drop you a line and let you know how we are getting on with our Mishti. I certainly picked the most suitable name i.e. Bengali for "sweet" is mishti, and she certainly is the most sweetest thing around.

She loves making new friends and never hides when we have guests. She interacts and keeps everyone amused with her antics. She is the biggest clutz around, particularly when she starts tearing around the house, jumps onto the couch, from there onto her scratching post with has a couple of platforms and promptly fall off!! When she runs around the house she sounds like an elephant. With the noise coming, it is a surprise to see such a small, cute thing arrive. She keeps us laughing and we just love her to bits.

She has also trained us perfectly. She sleeps with us in bed, usually on top of the quilt, but moves in underneath when she cools down. Because I get up at 7 to get ready for work, put out her wet food and refill her water bowl, she has become my alarm clock. She starts stirring just before 7, but does not go out of her way to wake us up. So she lies there giving herself a clean, and if we move she then gives the quietest little meow, and from there it escalates. If it is a weekend, I get up, put out her food, do everything that needs to be done, and stagger back to bed. She has a feed, goes to her litter box, and then comes back to bed, and actually lets me sleep in, unless ... she hates a dirty litter box, so if she has done a "poo" she will let me know, so I have to go in and clean it up. I would have done it anyway, but she feels she needs to supervise. It gets cleaned and then she is happy. As I am the one that cleans her litter, I suspect she hangs on until I am home. She doesn't do any big jobs whilst I am at work, even though Richard is home most of the time, but once I am in the door, a few minutes later there is commotion in the litter box. She buries it as if she is digging to China. That is my signal to go clean up.

Asianna Cooper of Beckatt
Asianna Cooper of Beckatt

She does so many funny things, and even started playing fetch with us. We didn't start it off, she just dropped one of her favorite fluffy toys at my feet, so I picked it up and threw it. She chased after it and brought it back, and dropped it at my feet. This can go on for about 5-10 minutes and then she just ignores it. If I am in the kitchen and she wants to play fetch, she brings the toy, puts it at my feet, then sits on my foot so I have to look down, and then fetch is on.

I could just keep writing, and writing, about all the things she does. She goes outside on the leash, and Richard put her on a longer rope connected to a tent peg in the middle of the lawn, and then works in the shed and she happily prowls around sniffing plants, rolling in the grass and being perfect!! She thinks she can catch the magpies that sit in the tree telling her off, and the growl that comes out of her is hysterical. But I will have to stop or this will become a major epic!!! I have attached some pictures, and will see how much she hates sitting in our laps!! All the best and a huge thank you for such a beautiful and loving girl.

Lucy

Hi Melina,

We had a name picked out last week- Kovu- but needed to see him first to see if it suited him. And yep it sure did. Well the little man arrived home safely and he settled in for his first night perfect. The other cats had a little bit of attitude to start with but Kovu just gave it back :-)

The older ones are starting to come around now. He is perfect and just what we wanted.. Far out he is a noisy eater.. hehehehe And he is also twice as playful as the other kittens we have had in the past. Its great :-)

Never a dull moment at home now... Ill send you some more photos once he gets settled in a bit more and you can see how he is doing.

Thanks once again

Hi Melina,

We thought we'd drop you a few lines to let you know how Ayla our little girl is going and send you some pictures so you can see how she's growing up.
She is absolutely beautiful and has a very cheeky nature! She is quite the entertainer and makes us laugh all the time! One of our favourite times with her is in the morning - she sleeps on our bed with us but climbs inside when it's cold and just before we have to get up she gives us the loveliest cuddles and purrs...It does make it very hard to get up sometimes!!!!

Beckatt Bengals past kittens
Beckatt Bengals past kittens

She follows us everywhere, and waits in the bathroom whilst we shower - once she even ventured into the shower of her own accord, albeit very briefly!!
Ayla is absolutely fascinated by ice cubes in drinks and will at her paw at them, this can be a bit messy at times when the glass tips over - but Ayla loves that and will play with the ice cube until it melts! She has also learnt to fetch all by herself and will bring back her toy or hairband until she gets bored and is onto the next thing. She is also very keen on running taps and will watch and play with the water!

We hope you like the photos...these were taken earlier this month.

We just love our little Ayla and thank you for breeding such a special girl.

Cheers
